    Chart Design View

    The Chart Design View allows you to specify the type of chart, much like in Excel, you would like from the data in the underlying Pivot while seeing the chart update in real time as you slice and dice your data.


    Chart Design Features

    The chart design enables you to specify the type, series, legends, and totals that can be used in designing the chart itself.

    Chart Design Properties

    A chart design has the following properties:

    Name Description
    Series The source of data for the series in the chart
    • Columns
    • Rows
    Type The type of chart
    • Area
    • Bar
    • Line
    • Pie
    • Splice
    • Splice ARea
    Combine Mode The mode in which data is combined
    • None
    • Cluster
    • Stack
    • Stack100
    Row Sub Total Position The position of any row sub totals

    • Left
    • Right
    Row Grand Total Position The position of any row grand totals
    • None
    • Left
    • Right
    Column Sub Total Position The position of any column sub totals

    Column Grand Total Position The position of any column grand totals

    Hide Labels Indicates if automatic labels should be hidden from view, and just tooltips provided

    These properties can either be modified in a standard grid or using the designer depending on which type of application you are using.
