    Pivot View

The Pivot view enables you to view and edit basic information about the overall Pivot. Pivots are used to analyse any data in the LemonEdge platform, and any external data you want to pull into the LemonEdge platform through custom SQL Wrappers.

    Pivot Properties

    Pivots have the following properties:

    Name Description
    [Key]
    [Required]
    Name
The unique user friendly name for this pivot
Description A user friendly description of this pivot
SQL Wrapper The SQL Wrapper that is used to retrieve data to analyse in this pivot.
Help URL A unique html url for a help file specific for detailing the purpose of this pivot and the data it analyses.
    Tip

By using SQL Wrappers as a source for the pivot data we ensure you can get any data you require from the LemonEdge platform or external sources in to the pivot. You can use custom SQL or Auto-Generated SQL from our query tools such as Datasets. Either way you are easily able to analyse any data you wish.

    Commands

    Note

A Pivot has the standard set of commands and functions when being viewed from a grid. See our standard grid functionality.

    Tip

Pivots can be exported and imported as packaged xml files to transfer configuration across systems. The export includes the SQL Wrapper, and any owning entities (such as Datasets), all protected using our standard versioning. Again this is available from the standards grid commands.
