Tasks View
Tasks allow you to create units of work that can be tracked and assigned to various users throughout your organisation as part of your business processes. Tasks can be configured to provide specific notifications and integrate with our other workflow productivity tools.
Task Features
Tasks can be standalone items or can operate against any entity in the system. This is true of all tools in our workflow suite, such as watchers, comments and documents.
When drag+drop designing your layouts, you can drop tasks against any item as a child view. This will enable users to easily create tasks against objects you want them to instantly, and to see the current status of those tasks at a glance.
Tip
Users also always have the ability to see all tasks related to any item using the Tasks Tool Window. This will allow users to see and alter all tasks against the current item without having the view specifically on the layout at all.
Note
The standard tasks view displays all tasks in the system. The tasks view in the Tasks Tool Window or customised on a layout will show tasks just for the item you are viewing.
